Parish of Billingham St. Luke

St. Luke’s Parish Church Low Grange, Billingham

A very warm welcome to St. Luke’s Church! We are delighted that you have visited our website. We are an Anglican Church (C. of E.) in the Diocese of Durham. Billingham lies within the Deanery of Stockton. At present there are just over 100 members on our church electoral roll. We aim to provide a friendly welcome to all visitors. Our aim as a church is to love and serve Jesus and make him known in the parish. We are here to serve our community and build the Kingdom of God.

We run Alpha courses to help people understand the Christian faith, to discover God’s love for them and enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

St. Luke’s was built in 1965 to provide a church for the expanding estate in Low Grange. We have good links with local schools, especially Bewley Primary across the road. The Parish of St. Luke is bounded by Marsh House Avenue to the west, Seal Sands Road to the north, and the railway line to the south and east.  We are currently working towards becoming a single parish made up of the 5 Anglican churches of Billingham with Wolviston. We also work closely with all the other church denominations through ‘Churches Together in Billingham’.

We hope that you will find the information on our website helpful and informative.

With very best wishes,

Rev. Tim Parker
Vicar
